Case Study 1
The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council in Meghalaya sought to protect its sacred groves and community forests while creating new livelihood pathways. Partnering with Net Zero Planet, they aimed to integrate traditional forest stewardship with modern climate finance mechanisms.
Our team co-developed a forest carbon monitoring system using satellite tools and trained local youth in ecological surveying. This effort led to the issuance of verified carbon credits, generating income for 12 villages while ensuring zero deforestation across 5,000+ hectares for two consecutive years. The project now serves as a replicable model for indigenous-led conservation across Northeast India.
Case Study 2
Sattva Textiles, a leading ethical fashion brand in Gujarat, wanted to make their operations climate-resilient. Through our partnership, we mapped their entire cotton-to-consumer journey, identifying key carbon hotspots.Net Zero Planet helped embed low-impact dyeing techniques, biomass-powered looms, and regenerative cotton sourcing.
Within 14 months, Sattva reduced their Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 45% and earned Gold certification under the Indian ClimateSmart Label. Today, they’re mentoring 30+ MSMEs to adopt similar changes.
Case Study 3
The Bhubaneswar Smart City initiative sought climate-aligned upgrades to its growing public transport system. We partnered with the city to assess emissions from auto-rickshaws, buses, and feeder networks.Our intervention included piloting electric rickshaw hubs with solar charging, optimizing routes with AI-based models, and launching a citizen behavior change campaign.
Within one year, EV adoption rose by 80%, and average per capita emissions from city transit dropped by 22%. Bhubaneswar is now positioning itself as India’s first mid-sized Green Mobility Lighthouse City.
